Images from our latest shoot in Paris for UGC, Europe’s second largest cinema operator with 44 cinemas and 488 screens! Opened in 1937 in the Modern Art style the cinema has a long rich history including many film premieres and acting as a theatre for Nazi soldiers during the occupation of France. Watch out for some of UGC’s newest cinemas coming here soon.
We were recently in Berlin working and decided some aerial images of the snow scattered landscape were required. Here are a few drone images taken over the Sanssouci Palace in Potsdam, just on the outskirts of Berlin. It was a design / build job completed by Georg Wenzeslaus von Knobelsdorff between 1745 and 1747. King Fredrick decided he needed a retreat where he could escape from the pomp and ceremony of the Berlin court, Sanssouci was the result. In 1990 the site became a World Heritage site protected by UNESCO.

This is a challenging concept developed by the Oslo Cancer Cluster. A combination of teaching, laboratory facilities and commercial offices with a common link to health and cancer research. A high school is located in the first two floors of the building with the remainder being dedicated to specialist office space. The exterior has been designed by Dark and Arkitektpartner with Link Arkitektur responsible for the interior design. Can you spot the subtle colour change in the window recesses? A nice touch from the designers!

Here’s a funky little extension tucked up in the forests of Bergen. Entilen Arkitekter have cleverly managed to gain some extra real estate space for the owner of this large residual block. The new extension with it’s dramatic over hang nestles in a dense forrest over looking the King and Queen of Norway’s summer retreat. The beautiful fairy tale Gamlehaugen (It can spotted in the distant of the interior view)

The Hinna Park development just outside of Stavanger, has seen some dramatic changes in the last few years. Seaview is one of it’s latest architectural additions. A striking structure combining an interesting use of coloured surfaces and drilled aluminium panels. We were lucky to capture the project on a glorious sunny day this autumn for the designers Link Arkitektur.

We’ve had a busy run for the last few months with a lot of exciting Scandinavian schools. School shoots are always exhausting as there’s so many different complex elements that require a fair amount of planning and tidying. Now that we’re flying up high with our Drone it adds a whole new perspective on the projects and of course the kids love it as well! Here’s an unusual project located just outside of Oslo in Hegg, Norway by L2 Arkitekter. A brave use of angles in the roof structure really adds a dramatic character.

The new office for Informa has now opened. Ben Adams Architects asked us to visit their latest completion to cast our eye over the space and produce some engaging images. Photographing in large corporate HQ’s is always a fine balancing act. To obtain the best images some degree of control over the space is required whilst creating minimum disturbance and respecting the clients usage. Thanks to the great team at Informa we were able to show a snippet of life at a top London office.
We’ve been developing some exciting new offerings over the summer, including Time Lapse footage and Aerial Cinematography. Here is a short clip showing Daniel capturing an early morning Time Lapse of Spinalonga Island in Crete. The Time Lapse footage will form part of our latest project to deliver a complex promotional film we are working on for the stunning Selena Hotel in the bay of Elounda, Crete.
